Pat and Kurt relocated to Malta after decades between Manhattan and Latin America. This apartment is their final home — not a stopover, not an investment. A place built for permanence.
 

The brief was for a space catering to daily comfort and long-term ease, built around one habit above all others — hosting the people they love.

The apartment sits on the coast, and the design follows its lead. A palette of soft blues and warm neutrals nods to Kurt's life in the water without tipping into theme. Pat's eye for art gives the walls their character. Together, the direction reads calm and elegant — warmth without heaviness.

The kitchen and dining area were reconfigured around one idea: cooking and hosting as a shared, social act, not a divided one. At its centre sits a bar, treated not as a functional afterthought but as a focal point in its own right — the space's natural gathering point.
