Tartarun Restaurant

Tartarun had spent fifteen years as a fixture of Malta's dining scene. The brief was continuity: bring the space into its next chapter without losing what made it Tartarun; the warmth, the familiarity, the sense that regulars were walking into a room that already knew them.

Rather than starting from a moodboard, the direction was drawn from the restaurant's own history: its materials re-read, its identity sharpened rather than replaced. Refined materiality and considered lighting carried the space into a new register without erasing its character.

It became SAVERIA's first project, and was later recognised in the Michelin Guide 2026, a validation of the studio's founding premise: design for longevity, not for trend.
